If you have indicated a specific food allergy or preference, please remind us in advance. In any case, please note that all served meals will not contain pork – if it is a meat meal, it will be composed of either chicken/turkey or beef.

Breakfast will be served in the main cantina every day from 07.30 to 09.00.

Facillities / meeting place / rooming

For the participants living in the region and around, the meeting point is set on Tuesday 12th August 2014 – from 12.30 on - so that you can get the keys to your room, get some food and have some time to get acquainted with the environment and other participants.

Jeløy Folkeshøyskole is situated on: Strandpromenaden 173, 1516 Moss.

What to bring?

The whole programme is designed with a lot of outdoors activities. Depending on the weather, many sessions will be organized out in the different beautiful areas of the campus. Think of bringing light clothes, sunglasses, sun-cream …and all you need to be under the sun! In case of rain, of course everything will be transferred indoors. Please think of bringing warmer outfits or jackets.

You will have free access to the gym (training center), the library with books and TV and the playgrounds (basket, volley).

Think of bringing some good shoes.

Please bring an alarm clock or your phone that can wake you up in the morning /there will be no wake up call!

If you are playing music, and possess any easy "transportable" instrument, you are very welcome to bring it.

We hope there will be many opportunities for you to play…

About Internet

You will have internet access from 07.00 to 23.00 every day in the center. You can bring your computer and your phone but you will need to leave them behind when you will have workshops going on.

About Money

You do not need to buy meals or pay for any of the activities. All is included. But we do suggest bringing just a little pocket money if you would like to buy some personal items/souvenirs/drinks at the nearby shops.

Rooms, Keys, Security

On campus, you will share a room with another participant. All the rooms are double – they are equipped with 2 separate beds –linen-cover-towels, and you will have one bathroom with a shower to share. We do not allow mixed rooms. If possible, and upon request, we can allow some of you to be with one of your friends. You will be given one key for 2 and you will be responsible for it. In case you lose the keys, you will have to pay 250kr to replace it. If you feel more confortable with leaving it at the reception in the morning, it is fine for us – but beware that at some times, specially during the workshops, it could be difficult to access it.

From 23.00 to 07.00, you will not be allowed to leave the campus.

Some rules more

So that this seminar may be conducted as smoothly and efficiently as possible, we kindly ask that you observe some basic rules.

The seminar runs from Tuesday to Saturday morning. You are supposed to make a commitment to stay for the entire event. If you have any problem with this, please contact the project leader in advance. You are expected to be on time for all the meetings/gatherings/workshops.

You must wear your lanyard at all seminar workshops and events and the t-shirt you will get on the first day, specially when we will be in the city center (Thursday for the street party and Friday on the bus tour). This way it will be easier to identify you!

No outside guests are allowed in or around the seminar facility unless you have a specific authorization.

Smoking is not allowed.

Drinking of alcoholic beverages is not allowed.

Any participant who has a medical problem that requires special care, treatment, or medication is asked to inform his or her group facilitator.

Lock your room doors at all times, whether you are in it or not. Notify the security staff/volunteers on duty immediately if you need assistance.

Participants are not allowed to make room changes. If there is a special problem, please let us know.

Respect the rights of other facility guests and enter only those rooms and floors in which seminar-related activities are being held. Keep noise to a minimum.

Travel grants

The project has invited different groups of youth from different parts of the world.  We have applied for funding to allow these groups to travel to the seminar and are already happy to announce YOUTH IN ACTION, the EU fund will support us for the travel of groups of youth from Denmark, Norway and Iceland.  Individual traveling is not supported unfortunately. Some other groups will be funded by UNESCO and other funds. The programme is CLOSED now.
