Those are the faces you will see when you come to the seminar. They are devoted, experienced, soulful people. They all have an amazing experience in the field of peace and conflict resolution and are the best to convey the ideas and the work that bfv believes in.

Garba is born in Mauritania, West Africa, lived and studied in the Middle East (Qatar) and Scandinavia (Norway and Denmark). All his life, he has developed ideas, enabled and facilitated educational activities and dialogue focusing on the key dimensions of globalisation: global institutions, conflict management and transformation, media awareness and the climate challenges as a solution to the cross-cutting issues of our time. Garba will lead the workshop CAN I COME IN NORPARADISE.
Stefanie is going to facilitate the drum circle together with Mikael Kei.
Some words from Sabine who will facilitate the workshop on human rights on friday 15th. "I recently finished my Bachelor from Social Work and will be living in Oslo from August on for one year interning in the CISV office. Since 1999 I am volunteering for CISV and have trained, staffed and participated in various peace-educational projects with a focus on experiential learning."

Gitte Ous is a media teacher at E6 Østfold Medieverksted and a kids- and adolescents yoga instructor in Fredrikstad. She is also bow shooter. During the Peace seminar she will do inspiring yoga with the youth and mandala chalk animation at the street party.
John Guarrine has been an educator for over 35 years. John has his Master’s degree in Outdoor Teacher Education and his school administration certificate from Northern Illinois University (NIU). Currently John serves on the board of Play for Peace, as chair of their operations committee and chairman.  John will lead the pre-conference workshop and a workshop inside the seminar with his colleague from Play for Peace in the Philippines, Anbern Rodis.
Mette Juel Madsen is an anthropologist working within the field of conflict resolution, where she trains youth and adult in dealing constructively with everyday life conflicts. Mette also works with intercultural encounters and how to make diversity an opportunity for learning and development.  She will be leading the workshop "Bafa Bafa"
Certified International Trainer for Play for Pe using Experiential Modality based training and development using activities, art, drama, etc. Originally from the US she is now living in Bangalore (South India) supporting and working with different organizations. She does work as an independent, as well as support Play for Peace initiatives. She will receive BFV ambassador, Jack, for a week visit. She will be our link with Ananya school during our connecting room session on friday 16th august.
23 year old student who loves travelling, languages, peace education and sunshine! Johanne is going to co-create the food workshop together with Tatiana.
My name is Fredrik, i am 29 years old...i love travel and to see the different sides of this wonderful planet, which unfortunately has some unfair sides.
Selina is accompanying the group from Finland. She teaches Spanish and English, she loves languages, travelling, dancing and being physically active, art, nature, and her hometown...
Diana majored in English and is currently finishing a degree in Scandinavian Studies. She has studied in Sweden, Denmark and the U.S. and recently did an internship at a folkeskole in Odense, Denmark (as a Comenius assistant). Her interests include intercultural communication and education, among others. Starting in August, she will be a volunteer at CISV-Norway for a year.
Christiane Seehausen develops and implements projects with a focus on diaspora. She works with the development of educational programs for various audiences on topics such as communication, identity and conflict management. In addition, she facilitates and guides processes with groups that are or have been in conflict with each other.She has experience in development work in Latin America, educational development for both the College of Lillehammer, IMDI and Eastern Research, integration.
Are there similarities between the ability to make music together and the ability to be in peaceful relations with each other? Mikael will invite you to get to know each other through powerful drumming. Mikael will lead a drum circle at the end of the seminar and will also be present for a playshop for smaller children in the streets of moss during the street party.
Marco Elsafadi (1976) is a Palestinian refugee and came to Norway with his family in 1987. He is a basketball player at the top level and has represented the Norwegian national team for 12 years. In 1993 he began his commitment to children and young people, and in 2002 he founded the organization New Page who until 2011 worked with disadvantaged youth, substance abuse, dropping-out school and violence. The organization had expanded to 60 employees.
Patricia is the project leader of this seminar. She has been leading the first edition last year. A recent arrival in Norway, she is working since 20111 with different projects for BFV.
